Hay un popular programa de televisión llamado La Lista negra. La premisa es que la estrella del show (mostrada en la foto de arriba) suple al Federal Bureau of Investigation de los EE.UU. con un nombre y detalles acerca de algún criminal (o grupo de criminales) en su lista, conocida como la lista negra. Los que están en esa particular lista negra son considerados generalmente ser criminales completamente infames.

Wikipedia define el hacer una lista negra como sigue:

Hacer una lista negra es la acción de un grupo o autoridad, que compila una lista negra de personas, países u otras entidades que han de ser evitadas o desconfiadas por ser estimadas inaceptables para aquellos que hacen la lista. Si alguno está en una lista negra, ellos son vistos por un gobierno u otra organización como ser uno de un numero de personas que no pueden ser creídas o que han hecho algo malo. Como verbo, hacer una lista negra puede significar oner a un individuo o entidad en una lista semejante. … En computación, una lista negra es un sistema de control de acceso que niega a una lista específica (o a un rango definido) de usuarios, programas, o direcciones de redes. Estar en una “lista negra” computarizada puede eliminar el acceso a la información, incluyendo la verdad bíblica. Los opositores de Jesús usaban la táctica de ‘culpa por asociación’, lo que Jesús denunció y añadió algo:

34 Ha venido el Hijo del Hombre que come y bebe, y decís: “¡He allí un hombre comilón y bebedor de vino, amigo de publicanos y de pecadores!” 35 Pero la sabiduría es justificada por todos sus hijos. (Lucas 7: 34-35)

Ser puesto en una ‘lista negra’ real o incluso ser agrupado con quienes no tienen buena reputación impacta enormemente a aquellos que no poseen la sabiduría divina.

¿Por qué mencionar eso aquí?

A causa de un incidente esta semana.

Comencemos con algunos antecedentes.

En julio 2020, la Continuación de la Iglesia de Dios anunció que nosotros teníamos otra URL y sitio Web: https://cg7.org

El propósito del sitio era tener libre información sobre la cual los guardadores del sabbath del séptimo día pudieran tener interés.

Hasta hace un par de días, todo parecía bien.

No obstante, el domingo, enero 30, 2022, nosotros recibimos un correo electrónico urgente del departamento legal de nuestra compañía de albergue de sitios web acerca de que un monitoreo de sitios web puso esa URL en su “lista negra” y que nosotros teníamos que hacer varias ‘correcciones’. Se nos dijo que si ellas no eran hechas a satisfacción del monitoreo del sitio web, el sitio cg7.org sería removido de nuestra compañía de albergue de sitios web. Pero, la compañía de albergue afirmó que en lugar de remover inmediatamente el sitio web cg7.org, puesto que nosotros habíamos sido clientes confiables a largo plazo ellos nos podían dar 72 horas para tratar de salir de la lista negra.

Así, yo oré acerca de ello y luego contacté al sitio de monitoreo web para tratar de encontrar lo que estaba sucediendo y pedir detalles.

El sitio de monitoreo web respondió afirmando que hubo una alegación cerca de algo que tenía qué ver con correos basura. No obstante, eso fue una falsa alegación puesto que no hubo nada que nosotros hubiéramos hecho.

Hubo casi una docena de comunicaciones tratando de resolver esto.

Después de que yo informé al sitio de monitoreo web que nosotros no teníamos nada qué ver con la alegación y por lo tanto no deberíamos ser colocados en la “lista negra”, ellos finalmente revisaron los detalles de la queja.

El representante del sitio de monitoreo web luego reportó que él estaba “mistificado” de que nosotros tuviéramos el problema en primer lugar. Ellos luego nos sacaron de la lista negra.

Cuando yo volví a revisar, el sitio tenía lo siguiente:

En mi opinión, todo el asunto tenía matices satánicos.

Nosotros no habíamos hecho nada malo, pero estábamos enfrentando la remoción a causa de falsedades. El hecho de que el representante de la compañía de monitoreo de sitios web afirmara que él estaba “mistificado” porque este asunto llegara tan lejos sugirió participación satánica.

Así, yo me esforcé en hacer lo anterior y nosotros ganamos – esta vez.

Historical Writings

There has been a continuous keeping of the Seventh day Sabbath from the time of the original apostles to present (see Laying on of Hands Succession and List; here is a link to a related sermon: Apostolic Laying on of Hands Succession).

The following are books and articles written by Sabbath-keepers in the 1600s through the early 1900s. While we in the Continuing Church of God would not agree with everything in these writings, they are provided here for historical reference as well as to demonstrate that there have been English-speaking Seventh day Sabbath keepers for centuries:

A briefe refutation of Iohn Traskes iudaical and nouel fancyes Stiling himselfe Minister of Gods Word, imprisoned for the lawes eternall perfection, or God’s lawes perfect eternity This is an attack, published in 1618, by a Roman Catholic priest against a Sabbath keeper named John Traske. The priest objects to Traske quoting scriptures and early Sabbath keepers like Polycarp of Smyrna and Polycrates of Ephesus. This old English document provide proof that Sabbath keepers with certain “Church of God” doctrines were in the British Isles in the 1600s.

Letters from Peter Chamberlen, reports from the Seventh Day Baptists, Adventist matters, Church of God leaders, and writings during the Sardis Church Era. This has materials about the Sabbath keepers from the 1600s to the 1900s,

An Examination of a late book published by Doctor Owen … A Sacred Day of Rest. Now this book was published in 1671 and uses old English, meaning that the letter “f” is often used where we would not use the letter “s.” Also note that some of the first pages of the link are blank on purpose. It was written by a Sabbatarian Church of God leader named William Saller.

A Pious Young Man’s Guide. This was written by John Mauldin who penned a some books in 1708 under the pen name of Philotheos. But this book shows he lost some of the truth consistent with warnings to Sardis (Revelation 3:1-3.

A Threefold Dialogue. This was also by John Mauldin who penned it under the name Philotheos. On pages 26 and 27 he used the expression “Church of God”and on page 32 “Church of Chift” (old English spelling). On pages 30-32 he teaches against the false Calvinistic notion that God will condemn babies. On page 61, he teaches that the resurrection was not on Sunday, but on the day we now call Saturday.

The Hope of Israel was published in the 1800s by Sabbatarians. They were not necessarily in the Church of God and contain some statements the CCOG would not support. Here are links to some that are online:

Our hope is to add more literature, hopefully be able to index materials from the 1800s so interested people will be able to better access it. To do what I would like to do, could take years if it is feasible–but what we should be able to accomplish would be a small part of the final phase of the work.

Now, there was a ‘silver lining’ to this false attack.

And that is, both our hosting company and the web monitoring company realize that we are reliable and have demonstrated more credibility should one or more falsely attack us again in the future.

As the Apostle Paul wrote:

28 And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose. (Romans 8:28)

As Jesus said:

33 … In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world. (John 16:33)

So, we know we should move forward, despite trials and difficulties. Jesus cannot lose, nor can we if we have the faith in Him we should have.
